  1. Hi!

I have a 1952 Mondial 160T that it runs rich and clogs up within a few mile or two and stops running.

It occurred to me that the carb could be replaced by a more modern (i.e. one with parts available) Dellorto, assuming some sort of manifold could be fabricated. The way the current carb goes on is that it slips over an intake pipe sticking our of the cylinder. It is clamped down with a brass ring. I was thinking that if a small manifold could be made to slip over and clamp on to the pipe, that I could just bolt up another carburator.

I either have to get this bike running or sell it to someone who needs a bit of Italian sculpture for his living room.

    Does this make sense?

    John
